Identifying A DCA-Registered Product

All pharmaceutical products, including health supplements and traditional supplies, need to be registered with the Drug Control Authority (DCA) before it is marketed in Malaysia. Assessment of the product should be carried out to ensure safety to the public. Each product is registered with the DCA is safe to be consumed by the public.

Products registered with the DCA has two main features, namely the registration number and the genuine hologram sticker. Registration number usually begins with 'MAL', followed by eight numbers, and end with a letter. To review the list of products that are registered with the DCA, visit the official website of the National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau in www.bpfk.gov.my . Click on 'Registered Product Search' (Quest Quest 2 & 3) and enter the details of the product to start the search.

The enforcement division or pharmacies can use a Hologram decoder to check the authenticity of the hologram sticker.
